Lead Safe Renovator - Initial
Course Description
This course meets Wisconsin's Department of Health Services (DHS), EPA, and HUD requirements to help you become a Certified Renovator under EPA's Renovation, Repair and Painting (RRP) rule.
Skills Learned
Understanding where lead hazards can be found; how to safely work around lead hazards; record keeping requirements; waste disposal requirements; and proper clean up procedures. Testudo LLC offers a positive day of training, full of interesting tidbits, hands-on exercises and plenty of time for questions.
Duration
1 day—8 hours, from 8 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Registration begins at 7:45 a.m.
Why do You Need This Training?
Each building firm that performs renovations or repair work on homes and child-occupied facilities that were built before 1978 must have at least one employee certified as a Lead Safe Renovator and must also certify their firm as a Lead Safe Company.
